Sophia Lampropoulou – Founder & Designer of 3D Season
Education
Sophia Lampropoulou holds a BA (Hons) in Product Design from AKTO and a degree in Informatics from the Technological Institute of Larissa.
Career
Since 2012, Sophia Lampropoulou has been involved in product design, product development and manufacturing, collaborating with industries, brands and independent creators. Her experience includes prototyping, mold making, machinery development, production processes and digital fabrication, providing a deep understanding of how products evolve from concept to production.
Alongside her professional work, she has participated in international design competitions, exhibited her work in museums and cultural institutions, and shared her design approach through interviews and publications within the international design community.
Founding of 3D season
In 2024, Sophia Lampropoulou established 3D Season as an independent design practice dedicated to exploring the possibilities of 3D printing in product, lighting and wearable design.
Created as a space for experimentation and creative freedom, 3D Season combines digital fabrication, craftsmanship and cultural storytelling to develop contemporary objects with a strong sense of identity. Through its collections and projects, the studio transforms memories, traditions and everyday observations into functional designs that connect innovation with human experience.
With its first collection, 3D Season gained international recognition through design awards, exhibitions, interviews and publications, marking the beginning of its presence within the international design community.
I seek the precision of 3D printing, the warmth of wood, and the soul of design. In each object, I try to balance technology and tradition – function and feeling.
