Vaggos is a contemporary eyewear holder inspired by the abstract forms of early Cycladic sculpture. Designed through smooth geometric lines and produced using 3D printing, the object transforms cultural references into a functional everyday accessory.
Its sculptural silhouette combines minimal aesthetics with practical use, creating an object that functions both as a decorative piece and as a support for personal items such as glasses. The project explores how symbolic forms from ancient art can be reinterpreted through contemporary digital fabrication.
Lightweight and durable, Vaggos encourages intuitive interaction while maintaining visual clarity and simplicity. The project reflects 3D Season’s ongoing exploration of collectible objects and contemporary Greek design through additive manufacturing technologies.
The project received the Iron A’ Design Award 2025–2026 in the 3D Printed Forms and Products Design category.
The object is designed through soft geometric volumes that reference the simplified facial characteristics of Cycladic figurines. Its minimal structure allows the form to remain expressive while serving a practical everyday function.
Produced through additive manufacturing techniques, Vaggos combines lightweight construction with durability and visual balance. The smooth surfaces and clean lines emphasize the sculptural identity of the object while supporting usability within contemporary interior spaces.
By translating historical visual references into a contemporary product, Vaggos reflects 3D Season’s approach to collectible and functional design through digital fabrication.
